ImPress Nails Press On Manicure First (and 2nd) Impressions!

So I just used the Impress Press on Manicure for the 2nd time and I have to say I am absolutely LOVING this product! I have never had press on nails last as long as these do! Seriously! I got a full 7 days wear out of each set that I have applied!

I am going to keep trying these, maybe pick up a few more sets at Walgreens. I will do a more extensive review then.

Under Construction!

I have taken down many of my posts, the only ones currently up are mainly Carmex Blog Squad posts and a few other random bits and pieces from over the last couple of years.

I want a fresh start. Please bear with me while I decide where I want to go from here on out with this blog. =)

Carmex Healing Lotion & Healing Cream (Carmex Blog Squad)

I am a member of the Carmex Blog Squad and was recently given the opportunity to try out their Healing Lotion and Healing Cream.

Carmex's Healing Lotion is fairly thick, in my opinion, for a lotion formulation, however, I do not mind this at all. It feels extremely luxurious on the skin, soaks in nicely and leaves no greasy residue. I will definately be purchasing this once the tube I was sent runs out!

I am no stranger to Carmex's Healing Cream. I've been using this product since the first time I seen it in Walgreens a couple Winter's ago. It was my skin's savior durring the bitter cold we experienced! Durring the Winter months, my skin painfully dry, often peeling or cracking. The Healing Cream is AMAZING for this! Carmex says it contains 9 "healing" ingredients. It has a very thick formulation that surprisingly, absorbs very easily into the skin, and it also leaves no annoying  greasy feeling! The scent of this cream, and also the Healing Lotion, is very remenicent of the usual "Carmex" smell at first, and dries down to a slightly sweet, undescribable, but pleasant scent.

To be honest, when I first tried out the Healing Cream last year, I expected it to be an average product, and it blew my expectations out of the water! The Healing Lotion did not disappoint me, either. For the $5.99 pricetag, you are getting an amazing product. If you are just  looking to try these out, they are offered in smaller 1oz and .75oz sizes for just $.99 each and are perfect for carrying in your handbag, gymbag, or travel!

Overall, this product is getting 5 out of 5 stars from me. I love it and will continue to use it as long as I can find it in stores!

Carmex has given me the opportunity to giveaway to a lucky person a tube of each of their Healing Lotion and Healding Cream. To enter, leave a comment on this post and I will use random.org to choose a winner on the April, 18 2013.

**These products were sent to me for review purposes for my participation in the Carmex Blog Squad, the opion is completely my own and has not been swayed in any way!**

Carmex Lip Conditioner Review

I have been a loyal user of Carmex products since I was in middle school. I started out with their original potted lip balm for my always chapped lips and my love grew from there.

When I was given the opportunity to become part of the Carmex Blog Squad a couple years ago, I jumped at the chance! Recently, they contacted me about a product that is new to their lineup. Their new Everyday Lip Conditioner!

I was so excited about the product that I actually went out and purchased a tube before my package arrived and I LOVE it! It’s a much different texture than I am used to for a lip product. Rather than feeling like a typical lip balm, this feels almost like a lotion for your lips! It’s very smooth and hydrating and has a pleasant orange scent. It feels a bit minty on the lips, which I also really love.

The formula is not greasy feeling and absorbs quickly into the lips.

Overall, I would say Carmex hit this one out of the park!

The only suggestion I would have is that they come out with this in a few more flavors, as the orange scent/flavor may not be for everyone. I personally would love to have this in a strawberry flavor! YUM!

(Carmex DID provide me with products for consideration for this review, however, I also purchased this product with my own money shortly before the ones they scent arrived.)

Project 10- Scents & Suds Edition: An Overdue Update!

So, I have been horrible at keeping this updated, BUT that has not kept me from my continued quest to get my "Bath & Body Closet" under control! I also decided to try to start using up some makeup items as well, just to start getting my makeup collection under control as well.

I started the makeup portion by going through everything I have and throwing out anything that was no longer good, and making a bag of things like eyeshadows and other easily sanitized items to be given to my mom and sister.

Since January 1st, 2011 (My last update on this project) I have used up more than 20 items to be added to my list!

Just as I did in my last post, I am going to include my older used up items in this list, and all new items will appear to be BOLD so that you can see my progress.

All my Bath & Body items now fit neatly on 1 shelf!

I am well over my goal of 10 items used up, so here is my mission: I am extending my "Project 10" into a "Project 50" for right now, and if I can reach that go, we may continue to go forward with a higher goal in the fututre!

CoverGirl NatureLuxe Liquid Silk Foundation: A Review

I recently received a full size sample of CoverGirl’s NatureLuxe Liquid Silk Foundation to try out.
I will admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, I really didn’t think this foundation was going to give me the kind of coverage I usually like, I thought I would be getting a very light almost tinted moisturizer finish with this. I also was worried about the staying power for my skin type. I have combination skin; parts seem to be very dry, while others get greasy.

That being said, this lasted for about 8-10 hours on me work over my favorite primer, and set with a finishing powder. AMAZING! I don’t typically leave my makeup on more than 8 to 10 hours anyway, so knowing it will last that long gives me the confidence to rock it out and about, even to an important occasion.

The foundation goes on with a velvety, light texture, it melts right in and I can barely feel it on my skin! I love that! I hate nothing more than feeling like I am wearing a thick mask of products on my face! And the best part, I get a great medium to full coverage with this paired with a primer! This foundation feels very luxurious, very similar to a more expensive high end type of foundation.

The packaging is sleek, in a small green squeeze tube, that offers up 1oz of product, you are able to have great control over how much foundation comes out of the tube, and is so much less of a mess than several other popular foundations that do not offer this style packaging or a pump, rather the open mouth jar style bottles.

I have yet to find a reason why I do not love this foundation, and I will definitely be repurchasing this, once my full size sample is gone!

A+ CoverGirl! You have gotten a customer back! =)
